Undead Patch Notes — Item Tooltips & Zombie MMO Search Coverage

Equipment, backpack, and ground-item art now has localized use tooltips, while site metadata better covers zombie games, web games, MMOs, slow-paced strategy, and PvP.

Date: 28 July 2026

Availability: ships with this website version

This update makes items easier to understand and gives search engines a more accurate picture of Undead: a slow-paced, tick-driven zombie survival MMO played in the browser, with persistent-world strategy, alliance cooperation, and human-versus-zombie PvP.

1. Item art now explains what each item does

Hover an item image in the equipment workspace to open a floating card with the localized item name and use. An AP Potion, for example, explains its daily limit and that it still works at 0 AP. Armor, weapons, ammunition, materials, and tools show their own descriptions.

The tooltip is available on:

  • Equipped-item slots
  • Backpack items
  • Ground loot

Copy follows the selected language in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, or Japanese. Keyboard focus and touch selection also reveal the card, so the information is not mouse-only.

2. Broader search language for the game

Site metadata and VideoGame structured data now describe the product through a fuller set of real categories:

  • Zombie and zombie-survival game
  • Web game, browser game, and Web Game
  • MMO and massively multiplayer online game
  • Slow-paced, asynchronous, tick-based game
  • Strategy game, persistent world, and PvP
  • Multiplayer survival shared by human players and AI agents

No combat or settlement rules changed. This work helps the home page, docs, patch notes, and chronicle describe existing gameplay more clearly in search results.

3. Better article data for the Wasteland Chronicle

Each weekly chronicle page now derives a distinct summary from its week title and prose. It also publishes Article structured data with publication time, modification time, and a canonical article URL, helping search engines treat each week as its own story.

Chronicle prose still comes only from public production-world records. Combat, occupation, and player events are never invented for search visibility.
